This card was originally called Homarid Drone, but the Creative Team at the time felt homarids were enough disliked by the public that they changed the name to that of an evolved homarid.
Alpha common.
From Alpha through Revised, this creature’s ability was “bands”. It was not until Fourth Edition that the ability became “banding”.
Legends common.
This card’s flavor text is seven words long yet uses only two unique words.
Tempest uncommon.
When designed, this creature had banding and regeneration. But between design and development, the banding mechanic was removed from Magic and the second ability was changed to first strike.
